Jim Carrey trolls Donald Trump, Ted Cruz with "Dumb and Dumber" poster

Comedian Jim Carrey knows Republican rivals Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are using his movies to troll each other -- and he wants it to stop.

The movie star chimed in on the presidential hopefuls' recent escapades with a twist on his own movie: "Dumb and Dumber: For Donald and Ted Everyday is a No-Brainer."

Carrey tweeted a photo of the original movie poster on Friday, photoshopping Trump and Cruz's heads to fit the characters.

"HEY DUMMIES, LEAVE ME OUT OF IT! ;^P #Americonundrum," read Carrey's tweet, which was retweeted more than 1,200 times within 30 minutes.

Trump brought the actor into the bitter battle when he sent out a Twitter poll to his more than 7 million followers.

"Who should star in a reboot of Liar Liar- Hillary Clinton or Ted Cruz? Let me know," Trump tweeted on Thursday, along with a poll where people weighed in.

Fighting fire with fire, Cruz replied to Trump's Jim Carrey reference with one of his own.

He called it, "Me, Myself & Don."

"Don't take a chance on this new release coming to ballot boxes in November 2016... #ChooseCruz," Cruz tweeted, suggesting Trump has a split personality.

"I'm very capable of changing to anything I want to change to," a quote underneath the fake movie title read.

The Republicans have yet to respond to the comedian's plea for a ceasefire, but only time will tell.
