Warrant details how Texas church murder victim died

MIDLOTHIAN, Texas -- A newly-released search warrant issued the day after Terri "Missy" Bevers was killed inside a Texas church reveals that the mother of three suffered "multiple puncture wounds found on her head and chest" the morning she died.

The Midlothian Police Department warrant describes surveillance footage which showed the suspected assailant walking the hallways of Creekside Church early in the morning on April 18, using a hammer to break windows, while "wearing a black helmet, black balaclava, dark pants, dark long sleeve shirt, black gloves, and a black vest with Police in white lettering on the front and back."

Bevers was seen on surveillance video arriving at the church at 4:18 a.m. She was scheduled to teach a fitness class at 5 a.m.

"The video shows Terri Bevers walking toward where the suspects location (sic). Neither the suspect nor victim, were seen again on video," according to the warrant.

Less than an hour later, Bevers was found dead.

"Terri Bevers had multiple puncture wounds found on her head and chest ... consistent with the tools the suspect was carrying throughout the building," according to the warrant, which also indicates the police seized and searched Bevers' iPhone and iPad.

Police have not said if they have suspects in the case, although they previously indicated that there was a list of persons of interest. A previously released warrant revealed that authorities seized a blood-stained shirt that Bevers' father-in-law dropped off at a laundromat. He told police it was the result of a fight his dog had with another dog.

The Oak Farms Dairy has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and grand jury indictment of the person or persons responsible.
