Insurance deceit

When you take out a life insurance policy, you pay premiums in the expectation that when you die your spouse or your children will receive the benefit. But as "60 Minutes" found out, audits of the nation's leading insurance companies have uncovered an industry-wide practice of not paying many beneficiaries.

Ecuador's tragedy

A 7.8-magnitude earthquake left hundreds of people dead and thousands more injured in Ecuador, but from amid the sea of devastation, a sparse few stories of triumph and survival are emerging. We see some dramatic rescues as the full extent of the damage and human loss becomes apparent.

Immigration gridlock

With Democrats and Republicans stuck in a protracted battle over immigration reform, President Obama took matters into his own hands with a series of executive actions. Republican state leaders challenged the actions and now, the Supreme Court is stepping into the fray.
