HEADLINES: The life of Benedict XVI, the Pope Emeritus (Video)
Benedict XVI was the first German pope in a thousand years, and the first pontiff to resign from office since 1415. His death on Saturday, at age 95, brought acknowledgements of a mixed legacy from his strict defense of church doctrine. But as correspondent Seth Doane reports, some of the conservative pope's actions – from his apology to victims of abuse in the church, to reaching out to other faiths, and then his monastic retirement – were unprecedented.

Barbara Walters, the longtime NBC and ABC journalist who became the first woman to anchor a network TV evening news broadcast, died Friday at age 93. Three friends and colleagues – "Sunday Morning" anchor Jane Pauley, and former ABC News veterans Ted Koppel and Sam Donaldson – sit down to reminisce about Walters' stellar career: the interviews, the successes, and the competitiveness.

In the House, where a slim GOP majority will rule beginning in January, a coalition of moderate Democrats and Republicans, dubbed the Problem Solvers Caucus, hopes to get legislation through a divided government. CBS News chief election and campaign correspondent Robert Costa talks with Representatives on both sides of the aisle, and with New York Times writer Robert Draper (author of "Weapons of Mass Delusion: When the Republican Party Lost Its Mind"), about what may be in store for the 118th Congress.
